The Asian American Journalists Association – Los Angeles Chapter is looking for its next student board members! Student members take part in board meetings, help with events, write content for the website and newsletter, and take part in all aspects of AAJA-LA.
The student board members do not have a vote but are expected to attend as many board meetings as possible. The voices of student journalists are important to AAJA-LA, and the student board members will bring those voices to the forefront.
Student board member required qualifications:
- Must be a AAJA-LA Chapter member
- Must attend a Southern California college/university
- Must live in Southern California
- Must be studying journalism, be in a major equivalent journalism and/or actively participating journalistic activities
The student board member positions run through the calendar year (December 2026). If appointed, the student board member is expected to fulfill duties through that date.
