Attendees get to book a manicure or pedicure for the event

In this transformative moment – as the Vietnamese American community marks 50 years since the end of the Vietnam War and the start of rebuilding their lives through the decades – let’s hear stories of resilience in the heart of Little Saigon.
Join us at Advance Beauty College to learn how a population launched into the nail salon industry through entrepreneurship – propelling immigrants and one founding family, anchored by Tam Nguyen and Linh Nguyen – helping them to dominate the work force and gain news coverage on all platforms. They will be in conversation with Anh Do of the Los Angeles Times.
Following their chat, leave with sparkling hands and twinkling toes.
Food and drinks included.
Event fee: $10, plus the cost of manicure or pedicure. When you register, please choose one of the services listed here. Supervised students will perform these services. We’ll prebook appointments for you, and you can pay on-site.
