Podcasting experts share insights during AAJA-LA panel

Dozens of people attended the Asian American Journalist Association-Los Angeles panel on Wednesday, Nov. 19, about podcasting.

The event was held at the ASU California Center, the location of the former Los Angeles Herald Examiner.

The panel was moderated by ESPN podcast producer Adrienne Luis and included panelists Ben Adair, founder of Western Sound; Joanne Griffith, Marketplace chief content officer; Arjuna Ramgopal, The Ringer’s senior podcast manager; and Eve Troeh, WaitWhat original podcasts executive producer.

The experts discussed how oversaturated the podcast market has become and shared strategies for standing out.

The panelists also talked about the current popularity of video podcasts and what it means to transition and audio show to video.
